How To: Sync your iTunes Library across multiple computers

Ever needed that one song on your desktop that you kept on your laptop and you need to listen to it now? Here is a quick tutorial to help you managed that daunting task with a simple freeware application, Sync Toy. First download this tool from the Microsoft website. Run the setup. After installing Sync Toy, run it for the first time. In the bottom right it will give you the option of creating a new folder pair. Select that and it comes up with a dialog. Select the left side to be where the folder is on either the other remote computer or this computer (whichever has all of the songs). Then click next and on the next screen, choose echo. (there are many choices to choose, pick the one best suited for your needs. If you frequently are adding songs on both computers, then choose synchronize, it will just take longer). Then run the sync that you just prepared, and watch as songs are copied over. Then, use iTunes Folder Watch to automatically watch and add the new songs to iTunes. This method is Windows only, if you would like me to try to find a Mac solution, post in the comments. If you discover a shortcut or something that is not explained well, also, please post in the comments. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this tip. I was syncing my music files already (I use AllwaySync) but couldn't figure out how to get iTunes to automatically add them. Your Itunes Folder Watch was the missing key.

This is pretty darn close to what I'm looking for. Now all I need is a way to keep multiple playlists synced. I do a little bit of DJing from time to time and I keep everything in playlists so that I can find them quicker. Any ideas for this?
